Encaustic Salvage Pieces
Encaustic painting, is a form of art that uses beeswax mixed with resin as the main medium. It is a versatile base that mixes well with oil pastels, oil paints and collage, which makes it perfect for my salvage project. A friend's art books were ruined in a flood. I am using the salvaged images from the ruined art books. Plus, I incorporate discarded jewelry and discarded wood (cut-offs) from a local wood working shop.
